Job Description

Grounds Worker is a full time position with the following benefits: Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life). Vacation and Sick Time. Possible Employee Housing. Free Shift Meal. Grounds Have knowledge of landscaping, of both native and non-native species. Plants, trees, and turf. Have knowledge of the tools needed to maintain the landscape, mowers, trimmers, saws, blowers. Have knowledge of basic plumbing, sprinkler systems, irrigation systems. plastic pipe, galvanized pipe. Being physically able to work with heavy lifting or digging. Being physically able to work out in the elements, cold, hot, wet. Being able to be flexible with job duties, many times our work is not landscaping, it's furniture moving, anything that is needed. Being able get along with other crewmen. Being able to get along with other departments. Being on call every now and then. - Engineering Have knowledge of property maintenance, buildings, plumbing, septic systems Roof tile Electrical skills, interior and exterior Plumbing skills, interior and exterior Concrete skills HVAC knowledge Able to understand and follow a PM program. Drywall Light construction Light carpentry Able to understand work orders system. Natural gas fixtures/fireplaces Some knowledge of everyday type appliances. Able to use the proper power tools needed for all the above tasks. You need to have a set of your own every day tools, a handyman's tool bag Being physically able to work with heavy lifting, digging. Being physically able to work out in the elements, cold, hot, wet. Being flexible with job duties, whatever is needed as everything may not fall under the Engineering title. Being able to be on call for after-hours issues, sewers, guest room problems. Could be at least 2 days or up to 3 days of an on-call rotation. Being able to get along with other crewmen. Being able to get along with other departments.
