Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team in maintaining the pristine condition of our outdoor spaces, including golf courses, athletic fields, and landscaped areas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our grounds through hands-on maintenance, landscaping, and equipment operation. Your expertise will help create inviting environments that promote outdoor enjoyment and safety for all visitors and users. Responsibilities Operate ground maintenance equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems to maintain lawns, gardens, athletic fields, and golf course landscapes. Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, digging, planting, and debris removal to support landscape projects. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent water waste or damage. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote healthy plant growth. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or pest problems. Maintain equipment through cleaning, basic repairs, lubrication, and scheduled servicing to ensure safe operation. Operate company vehicles responsibly for transporting tools, equipment, or materials around the site. Skills Proven experience with irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, and groundskeeping practices. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners and power tools including chainsaws and lawnmowers. Knowledge of pesticide management procedures and safety standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Familiarity with golf course groundskeeping techniques or athletic field maintenance is a plus. Strong understanding of equipment maintenance routines for landscaping machinery and power tools. Excellent attention to detail in lawn care, gardening tasks, and overall grounds upkeep.
