Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team at Chetwood Crest MHP in Castro Valley! In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our community clean, safe, and visually appealing for all of our residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mow, edge, and trim grass areas; weed garden beds; rake leaves and blow clear walkways, driveways, and common areas.
• Keep streets, common grounds, and trash enclosure areas clean and clear of debris or litter.
• Perform light touch-up painting (e.g., clubhouse exterior/interior, fences, curbs), minor repairs, and general handyman tasks as needed.
• Assist with basic setup/cleanup for community clubhouse events or resident activities.
• Safely operate and maintain lawn care equipment (mowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers) and hand tools.

Report any larger maintenance hazards or safety concerns to the Manager.

Requirements:

• Basic groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Comfortable operating basic landscape machinery and performing simple physical repairs/painting.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 45lbs, and stand, bend, or walk for extended periods.
• Punctual, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable interacting respectfully with residents.
