Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance duties including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and visual appeal. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, irrigation systems, and tree care machinery safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and pest management. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Conduct hardscape maintenance including cleaning walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants and surrounding environments. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to maintain safe access to properties. Follow all safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents during outdoor work activities. Support seasonal tasks such as tree trimming, landscaping installations, or renovation projects as required. Experience Proven outdoor work experience in groundskeeping or landscaping roles is highly preferred. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, pruning, planting, and soil management. Familiarity with the operation of landscape equipment such as power tools, irrigation systems, excavators, and snow plows. Mechanical knowledge related to garden machinery and troubleshooting equipment issues effectively. Understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management strategies. Experience adhering to safety protocols in outdoor environments is essential. Prior work involving grounds maintenance or landscaping projects demonstrating attention to detail and reliability is advantageous.
