Los Angeles Area Job Description We are seeking an experienced, dependable Full-Time Gardener / Landscaping Maintenance Contractor to provide ongoing landscaping and exterior maintenance services for residential properties throughout the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate is experienced in general gardening and landscape maintenance and is also comfortable diagnosing and performing basic repairs to irrigation systems, sprinklers, valves, and irrigation timers/controllers . This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in keeping properties clean, attractive, and well maintained. The contractor must be organized, reliable, professional around residents and property owners, and able to work independently. Responsibilities Perform routine gardening and landscape maintenance at residential properties Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns Trim shrubs, hedges, bushes, and small trees Weed and maintain planter beds and landscaped areas Rake, sweep, blow, and clean exterior landscaped areas after completing work Plant and replace flowers, shrubs, plants, and other landscaping as needed Identify landscaping, plant health, and irrigation issues Troubleshoot and repair sprinkler and irrigation systems Replace and adjust sprinkler heads Diagnose broken or leaking irrigation lines and valves Program, troubleshoot, and adjust irrigation timers/controllers Adjust watering schedules based on property needs and seasonal conditions Report larger repairs or landscaping concerns to management Keep work areas clean and remove landscaping debris after service Maintain a professional appearance and respectful interaction with residents Complete assigned properties and work orders on schedule Clean community laundry rooms during gardening visits Requirements Minimum 3 years of professional gardening or landscaping experience Experience working with irrigation systems, sprinklers, valves, and timers/controllers Must provide and maintain your own gardening tools and equipment Must have reliable transportation Ability to travel between properties throughout the Los Angeles area Strong understanding of proper landscape maintenance practices Ability to identify common irrigation and landscaping problems Ability to work independently and manage a full daily schedule Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Able to perform physical outdoor work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions Professional and respectful when interacting with tenants, homeowners, vendors, and management Tools & Equipment Contractor must have their own professional tools and equipment necessary to perform routine gardening and landscaping services, including appropriate hand tools and landscaping equipment. Compensation $25.00 per hour This is a full-time 1099 independent contractor position .
