OBJECTIVE

Greens Keepers perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance. They perform semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance and operate a variety of equipment. This position is introductory. No previous golf course experience is necessary. It is helpful to have a working knowledge of Landscape Equipment.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Work begins early AM. Must be available to work weekends. Work is outside in all types of weather including extreme heat and cold, rain, and humidity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting. Operates mowers in cutting greens, tees, collars, approaches, and roughs. Maintains sand bunkers. Performs course set up and preparation. Assists in projects including but not limited to; Aerifing, Topdressing, Fertilizing, Sodding, Seeding, Planting, Edging, and Excavating. Maintains landscape areas, trees, streams, lakes, and native environments. Performs other duties as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires ability to operate motorized equipment and hand tools and to understand the method and procedures used in golf course maintenance. Must possess enough physical strength, stamina, and agility to perform maintenance tasks.

None.
