Job Description
What to Expect Perform gardening and groundskeeping across campus sites to maintain safe, functional, and sustainable outdoor environments with native and drought-resistant plantings, debris control, equipment operation, and support for site operations and green initiatives. What You'll Do Perform gardening duties including planting, pruning, weeding, and care for lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds emphasizing native drought-resistant species Conduct debris cleanup around buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeters using blowers, rakes, and collection equipment Maintain grounds by mowing, edging, mulching, and applying eco-friendly treatments for soil health, pest control, and erosion prevention Operate and maintain equipment such as electric mowers, trimmers, pressure washers, and utility vehicles including towing trailers Monitor and address safety hazards such as spills, blockages, or overgrown areas while supporting seasonal snow/ice or storm cleanup Collaborate with facilities & engineering teams to integrate grounds work with site operations, EV infrastructure, solar areas, and green initiatives like composting or pollinator gardens Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, waste management, and safety standards while documenting work, reporting issues, and recommending improvements What You'll Bring At least 2 years of combined experience in gardening, landscaping, debris removal, or facilities maintenance preferably in corporate or industrial settings Knowledge of sustainable practices including organic pest management, recycling, water-efficient techniques, irrigation systems, and waste sorting Valid driver's license with experience operating utility vehicles or towing trailers preferred Familiarity with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, and waste management protocols Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Availability for full-time hours including weekends, early mornings, or on-call duties during peak seasons or weather events Certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or grounds management preferred along with proficiency in electric or battery-powered tools Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $68,400 - $113,400/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
