Responsible for a variety of services related to gardening and the general maintenance of the Provincialate grounds.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess personal qualities of integrity, respect for others, good judgment, and good communication skills. Current CA driver's license with no restrictions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School graduate preferred Ability to read and understand instructions and safety precautions in English

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Practical knowledge regarding the care of lawns, gardens, and grounds Ability to operate equipment needed to care for grounds Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, axes and other heavy equipment as required Ability to work with people in a manner that creates harmony and promotes cooperation Self-motivated and prompt in performing tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Cares for lawns, gardens and grounds Prunes and trims trees, shrubs,hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws Maintains sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other ground maintanance Install, maintains and repairs irrigation systems as needed Gathers and removes littler debris Follows all appropriate safety precautions for handling equipment and chemicals, and uses protective gear to prevent injuries Other duties as assigned

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Work throughout Daughters of Charity complexes Using tools needed for routine grounds maintenance and grounds projects Working at times in extreme temperatures and with physical hazards Must be able to lift 50lbs. without restrictions Exposure to dust, dirt, grease, noise, insects Walking, standing, maintaining balance, climbing ladders, crouching, bending, stooping and reaching above shoulder level Moderate levels of stress

Pay:

$22.00 - $23.34 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
