Overview Join our dynamic groundskeeping team as a Grounds Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will help create and maintain vibrant, healthy landscapes across our recreational and sports facilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills in irrigation, landscaping, and groundskeeping. Your hands-on approach will ensure lush lawns, well-maintained turf, and pristine outdoor environments that inspire community engagement and outdoor enjoyment. Responsibilities Operate and maintain a variety of groundskeeping equipment including mowers, power tools, chainsaws, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal landscape health. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, fertilizing, and watering to uphold high standards of appearance. Manage irrigation systems efficiently by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and adjusting schedules to promote healthy growth. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as pruning, aerating, aeration, and soil preparation. Execute manual handling duties including heavy lifting of equipment or materials to support landscaping projects or grounds improvements. Maintain equipment through routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care practices, and landscaping techniques. Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as chainsaws, power tools, and company vehicles safely following all safety protocols. Familiarity with power tool safety standards and equipment maintenance procedures. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and extended periods of outdoor work in various weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds improvement projects. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles preferred.
