Irrigation & Landscape Technician Tropicana Landscape is looking for a dependable, experienced, and motivated Irrigation & Landscape Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot irrigation issues, communicate professionally, and help maintain commercial properties to a high standard. What You'll Do As an Irrigation & Landscape Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems while also supporting landscape maintenance operations as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial irrigation systems Diagnose irrigation leaks, broken lines, damaged valves, wiring issues, and coverage problems Repair and replace sprinklers, nozzles, drip irrigation, valves, pipes, and related components Adjust irrigation systems to provide proper coverage and reduce unnecessary water use Troubleshoot and program irrigation controllers Perform routine irrigation inspections and identify needed repairs or improvements Communicate irrigation issues and recommended repairs to supervisors Assist with landscape maintenance, including pruning, planting, weed control, cleanup, and general property care Identify common plant and landscape problems Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and professional condition Complete assigned work efficiently and with attention to detail Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations Provide professional and courteous service while working at customer properties What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to identify and solve irrigation problems in the field. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with landscape irrigation repair and maintenance Experience troubleshooting commercial irrigation systems Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, sprinklers, drip systems, piping, and electrical troubleshooting General landscape maintenance and horticultural knowledge Ability to identify common irrigation and landscape problems Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Dependable attendance and professional attitude Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Ability to perform physical outdoor work throughout the workday Willingness to work in varying weather conditions Commitment to safe work practices A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are preferred/required based on job duties.
