Lead Landscaper / Crew Leader Bird Rock Landscape•San Diego, CA Bird Rock Landscape is looking for an experienced, dependable Lead Landscaper / Crew Leader to help manage our growing landscaping operation. This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who can work alongside the crew while also taking responsibility for job quality, productivity, organization, and making sure projects are completed correctly. Responsibilities Lead and supervise landscaping crews on residential projects Review the day's scope of work and organize the crew accordingly Perform and oversee landscape installations and maintenance Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and drought-tolerant landscaping Install mulch, rock, DG, edging, soil amendments, and other landscape materials Perform hedge trimming, pruning, cleanup, and property maintenance Assist with irrigation installation, troubleshooting, and repairs Properly operate landscaping equipment and power tools Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment Keep job sites clean and professional Monitor the quality of the crew's work throughout the day Communicate job progress, material needs, and potential problems to the owner Help train and direct newer crew members Make sure jobs are completed efficiently without sacrificing quality Treat clients and their properties professionally and respectfully What We're Looking For Several years of professional landscaping experience preferred Previous crew-lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of plants, pruning, landscape installation, and general maintenance Irrigation experience is highly desirable Ability to read a job scope and execute it without constant supervision Comfortable operating commercial landscaping equipment Strong attention to detail Reliable, hardworking, and able to take ownership of a project Good communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred Ability to perform physical outdoor work and lift landscaping materials and equipment The Right Person We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be told every little thing that needs to happen. You should be able to arrive at a property, understand the scope, organize the crew, spot problems before they become bigger problems, and leave the property looking excellent. This is an important position within a growing company with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as Bird Rock Landscape continues to expand. Full-time position•San Diego area
Pay:
Competitive and based on experience.
Pay:
$25.00•$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0•50.0 per week
