$115-$135 per day (four 40-minute classes) About the Role We're seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Gardening & STEAM Instructor to lead engaging in-school enrichment classes for young learners. Students will explore gardening, environmental science, and hands-on STEAM activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration through nature. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy creating meaningful, interactive learning experiences and helping students build an appreciation for science and the natural world. Responsibilities Lead engaging Gardening & STEAM lessons using provided curriculum. Teach foundational gardening skills, including planting, watering, and garden care. Integrate science, engineering, creativity, and environmental learning into each lesson. Foster curiosity, teamwork, and confidence through hands-on activities. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment. Prepare lesson materials before each class. Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators. Submit brief after-class session reports and maintain timely communication with the program team. Requirements Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred. Candidates should possess excellent classroom management and communication skills and enjoy facilitating hands-on learning. Applicants must successfully pass a background check, complete all required onboarding and school compliance requirements, be authorized to work in the United States, have reliable transportation to assigned school sites, maintain clear and timely communication with the program team, and be able to commit to the Fall 2026 schedule. Preferred Qualifications Teaching credential or educational background is highly preferred. Experience teaching gardening, environmental education, STEAM, or project-based learning.
