Full-Time Pay:
$27-$32, depending on experience and demonstrated skills
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, typically 10 a.m.-6 p.m. overtime may be available as project schedules require. About the Position Bay Greenery is a licensed landscape contractor looking for an experienced technician to support our installation team. As our second employee, you'll work directly with the owner and his apprentice while playing an important role in the quality of our work and the growth of the company. We're looking for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their craftsmanship, can work through obstacles to completion, and deliver quality results. This is a journeyman-level position, not an entry-level labor role. You don't need to be an expert in every aspect of landscaping, but you should bring strong, practical skills in at least one of our core installation specialties. You must be able to work unsupervised on a jobsite and make progress on your tasks. Applicants who take initiative and can move the project along themselves are valued highly. Required Experience & Skills Minimum four years of professional landscaping experience, with journeyman-level proficiency in one or both of the following: Irrigation installation and repair: Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems, including piping, valves, sprinklers, and drip irrigation.
Hardscape installation:
Hands-on experience installing pavers, patios, pathways, or similar features, including proper site preparation, base preparation, layout, and finished installation. You should be able to plan the steps of an assigned task, recognize potential problems, and communicate when additional information, materials, or assistance are needed. Additional Skills We Value Experience in any of the following is a plus, not every skill is required: General construction Low-voltage landscape lighting Sod installation, landscape maintenance, and plant identification and care Excavation, trenching, and grading Safe and skilled operation of landscape construction equipment, including trenchers, rototillers, compactors, and skid steers Responsibilities Complete installation and repair tasks within your specialty, working independently when appropriate and alongside the team on larger projects. Support other phases of landscape installation, including site preparation, material handling, planting, sod installation, and cleanup. Follow project plans and instructions, check your work, and deliver professional results. Communicate progress, material needs, site conditions, and unexpected issues promptly. Operate and care for tools and equipment safely, keep work areas organized, and treat clients and their properties with respect. Who Will Be a Good Fit?
