Job Description

A Utility Engineer is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of the hotel grounds, public space and back of the house areas in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service . Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays What will I be doing? . Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Maintain the appearance and safety of the hotel grounds including, but not limited to, lawns, driveways, pathways, patios. Clean loading dock area; wash sidewalks, clear debris from sidewalks; pick up trash around the building Empty trashcans throughout the property Pick up litter throughout the property Utilize leaf blowers, and other heavy equipment to perform tasks Provide painting and general maintenance property-wide Drywall, paint, wall covering, and specialty finishes Prep work including paint removal, wallpaper stripping, masking, drywall repairs, etc. Keep and maintain records of all chemicals Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks Physical Demands Lift of carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks as assigned. Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. Work indoors/Outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors. We are a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment drug screen required.
