Job Summary Substitute works as needed: Under general supervision, to keep assigned rooms, buildings, office space and school grounds clean and orderly. Perform minor repairs as required.
WORK CONDITIONS
Location:
Work is performed outdoors under all types of weather conditions.
Hazards:
Exposure to repetitive use of tools producing vibration, requiring excessive gripping, and highly repetitive activity; sharp objects, pinch points, chemicals, electrical shock, slippery surfaces, trip obstacles, bites from animals/insects, traffic hazards, and varied weather conditions.
Equipment Used:
Sod cutter, riding/push/self-propelled mowers, weed trimmers, tractors, chippers, leaf/back-pack blowers, back-pack sprayers, lawn edger, hand and power tools, and pickup truck.
Safety Equipment:
Safety shoes, hearing protection, rain gear, boots, gloves, safety glasses, goggles, face shield.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS 1.
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Two years of experience in school district maintenance/grounds work or a related field preferred. Certificate in grounds or turf management is preferred. 3. Must be able to operate automatic and standard transmission vehicles and all District-owned vehicles. 4. Must have the ability to successfully complete the perormance responsibilities listed within this document on an ongoing basis.
