Job Description

Landscaper / Groundskeeper

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM We are seeking an experienced Landscaper/Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and exterior grounds at our properties. This position is primarily based in Aurora, with occasional travel to Colorado Springs. A company truck is provided for work-related travel and is driven by the Team Lead. Responsibilities Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas. Plant, water, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation. Remove weeds, leaves, branches, trash, and debris. Apply mulch, soil, seed, fertilizer, and other landscaping materials. Inspect irrigation systems and identify leaks, broken sprinkler heads, and other issues. Maintain sidewalks, parking areas, entryways, and exterior common areas. Assist with seasonal cleanup and snow/ice removal as needed. Perform minor grounds and property-maintenance repairs. Safely load, unload, transport, and store landscaping tools, equipment, and materials. Inspect grounds for hazards, property damage, irrigation issues, and maintenance needs. Clean and properly maintain landscaping tools and equipment. Work independently and as part of a crew to complete assigned properties efficiently. Perform other landscaping and grounds-maintenance duties as assigned. Equipment & Tool Experience Applicants must have experience safely operating common commercial landscaping, gardening, and maintenance equipment, including: Walk-behind, riding, and zero-turn mowers Weed/string trimmers and edgers Leaf and backpack blowers Hedge trimmers and brush cutters Pole pruners, pruning tools, and hand saws Aerators, dethatchers, tillers, and spreaders Snow blowers and snow-removal equipment Pressure washers Shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and other landscaping hand tools Irrigation and sprinkler repair tools Drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, and other basic power tools Safety Safety is a top priority. Employees must follow all company safety procedures, use required PPE, and understand how to properly and safely operate the tools and equipment listed above. Employees should only operate equipment they are trained and qualified to use and must immediately report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment. Qualifications Previous professional landscaping, groundskeeping, or commercial property-maintenance experience required. Experience safely operating commercial landscaping equipment and power tools. Knowledge of mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, irrigation, and general landscape maintenance. Ability to identify basic irrigation, landscaping, and property-maintenance issues. Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying Colorado weather conditions. Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a crew. Ability to occasionally travel with the crew between Aurora and Colorado Springs in a company-provided vehicle. Compensationbased on relevant experience and demonstrated skill level.
