This role involves ensuring safety, completing routine and emergency repairs, seasonal pool maintenance, landscaping, irrigation repair and maintenance, and providing excellent service by fulfilling resident maintenance requests.
Responsibilities:
Provide timely response to emergency maintenance requests Perform regular inspections of public areas and amenities to identify maintenance requirements Report necessary repairs and safety issues to supervisors Deliver exceptional customer service to residents by addressing their requests and concerns Maintain clear communication with the HOA Board of Directors and Operations Administrator on repair status and updates Maintain public areas, including grounds, landscaping, and amenities Provide on-call availability for emergency maintenance Attend required training and comply with HOA management policies Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth and beautiful scenery Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and prevent water waste Identify plants, weeds, pests, and diseases; apply appropriate horticultural practices or pesticides following safety protocols Conduct snow plowing and removal during winter months to ensure safe access to all outdoor areas Follow safety procedures diligently while handling tools and chemicals; report any hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly
Requirements:
Minimum of one year experience as a maintenance technician/groundskeeper or equivalent Strong interpersonal and communication skills Availability for on-call duties Ability to perform snow and ice removal Ability to understand and execute detailed instructions Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools operation Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety protocols for chemical application Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively and troubleshoot common issues Familiarity with lawn care techniques such as mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; certification in groundskeeping or landscaping is a plus
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
