Landscape Crew Member Location :
Larson's Garden Center and Landscaping throughout the Farmington Valley Position Overview Larson's Garden Center and Landscaping is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Landscape Crew Member to join our team. You will play a vital role in executing high-quality landscaping projects and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments for our residential and commercial clients. If you have a passion for plants, love working outdoors, and enjoy seeing a project come to life, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities Landscape Installation:
Assist in the installation of trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, and mulch according to project plans.
Grounds Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and raking to keep properties looking their best.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools and machinery, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other power equipment.
Plant Care:
Monitor plant health, including watering, fertilizing, and identifying/ removing damaged or diseased material.
Site Cleanup:
Ensure job sites are kept clean, orderly, and free of litter and debris throughout the workday.
Hardscape Assistance:
Support the team with basic hardscape projects, including patio/walkway/ retaining wall installation and drainage work as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
candidate - 6 months of experience in landscaping or a related field (willing to train the right persons)
Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and lifting at least [50] lbs repeatedly.
Weather Tolerance:
Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
Work Ethic:
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Communication:
Ability to follow verbal instructions and maintain a positive, professional attitude with team members and clients.
Requirements:
Valid CT driver's license
