In this role, you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, and designated outdoor areas to keep our community safe and welcoming. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for pedestrians, residents, and visitors alike. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop outdoor work skills while contributing to the safety and aesthetics of our community. Responsibilities Operate snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, and power tools to efficiently clear sidewalks and walkways Previous snow removal experience preferred Ability to shovel snow and apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and ensure safe walking conditions Comfortable performing physical work outdoors for extended periods Follow safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of outdoor pathways to identify areas needing additional attention or maintenance Collaborate with team members to prioritize high-traffic areas for snow removal efforts Reliable transportation Dependable and available for snow and ice events Experience Prior outdoor work experience in winter conditions preferred but not required; training will be provided Mechanical knowledge helpful for operating snow removal tools and power equipment safely Ability to identify hazards such as icy patches or damaged walkways quickly and accurately Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions are essential.
