Landscape Gardener Eastern Land Management - 3.8 Stamford, CT Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Basic math Driving Power tools Full Job Description Position Summary Performs a variety of responsibilities, removing debris from grounds, mulching, bed edging; operating hand, walk-behind and ride-on mowers, blowers and other power equipment; raking leaves; sweeping and blowing walkways; and weeding by hand. Also, maintain proper working and safety standards.
Detailed Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Ø Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic. Ø Ability to follow instructions and operate hand and power equipment. Ø Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with other employees, faculty, and students in campus community. Ability to operate grounds keeping machinery.
Experience:
Prior landscaping work experience required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The following conditions must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment; to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Vision See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Environment The majority of the work is performed in an outdoor field environment and on the road; a minimal amount of work is performed in an indoor office; travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, pesticides, fertilizers, compost, insects, certain wild animals, plants and weeds (including poison oak and ivy), flowers, pollen, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; work in or around water; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain.
Offered compensation:
$18/hr - $21/hr
