Duties Operate a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems to ensure healthy lawns and gardens. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and weed control to keep properties looking pristine. Identify different plant species and assess their health; apply appropriate horticultural practices including pesticide management when necessary. Maintain safety protocols by wearing protective gear, following proper procedures for equipment use, and adhering to all safety guidelines during outdoor work activities. Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify issues early and perform necessary maintenance or report larger concerns for prompt action. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with grounds maintenance is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and hand tools is essential. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning. Ability to identify various plants and trees; knowledge of horticulture principles is a plus. Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, operating machinery, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have a valid drivers license? Do you have reliable transportation to report to our shop in Wallingford CT each workday? Are you able to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including regularly lifting and carrying up to 50lbs? Do you have experience operating commercial lawn equipment such as zero-turn or stand on mowers, string trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers or similar equipment? Are you able to work through the fall season, approximately through mid December?
