Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club, located in Bonita Springs, FL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Golf Course Equipment Operator ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon , you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the care and maintenance of golf course.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Golf course maintenance experience preferred, but not required Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course Working knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance work Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations Ability to give oral and written instructions Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation Must be dependable
Responsibilities:
Operates motorized vehicles Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
