Duties Must know how to throw SOD #1 Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, watering, and weed control to keep outdoor areas healthy and attractive Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and health assessments while adhering to safety protocols Manage landscape installations involving planting beds, hardscape features like patios or walkways, and garden structures Apply pesticides or herbicides responsibly following safety guidelines to control pests and weeds effectively Maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools for operation and maintenance Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, tree care, and groundskeeping practices Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, weeds, pests, and beneficial insects with confidence Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for efficient water management Familiarity with pesticide management including proper handling and application techniques Hands-on outdoor work experience in diverse weather conditions with a focus on safety compliance Excellent understanding of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design principles This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor environments who thrive in active settings.
