Responsibilities Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to ensure attractive and healthy outdoor spaces. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Maintain athletic fields or golf course grounds by aerating, fertilizing, overseeding, and managing turf health. Assist with irrigation system installation, inspection, repair, and management to ensure optimal watering schedules. Use hand tools and power tools for landscaping tasks while adhering to safety protocols for power tool operation and maintenance. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of materials or equipment parts with proper technique to prevent injury. Manage pesticide applications following safety guidelines and environmental regulations to control pests and promote healthy plant growth. Conduct routine inspections of grounds for hazards or maintenance needs and report issues promptly for resolution. Qualifications Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf management is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance practices, and athletic field groundskeeping techniques is highly desirable. Ability to operate ground maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, chainsaws, power trimmers, and other landscaping tools safely. Familiarity with pesticide management procedures and safety standards is a plus. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or grounds maintenance equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of lawn care and landscaping aesthetics.
