Come Join Our Team at Corkscrew Woodlands! Corkscrew Woodlands Association, Inc. is a beautiful and active 55+ residential community in Estero, Florida, consisting of 640 homesites . Our community includes a clubhouse, swimming pool and spa, tennis courts, bocce ball, horseshoes, miniature golf, walking trails, landscaped common areas, and numerous other facilities enjoyed by our residents. We take pride in caring for the community our residents call home. While every employee has a primary area of responsibility, we work together as a team to keep Corkscrew Woodlands clean, safe, attractive, and welcoming. We currently have an immediate opening for a full-time, year-round Grounds & Lawn Maintenance Team Member. This is a permanent position we are looking to fill as soon as possible. About the Position This is an outdoor, hands-on position caring for the grounds of our 640-lot community. Our Grounds & Lawn Maintenance Team maintains lawns, landscaping, trees, trails, recreational areas, common property, and other outdoor areas throughout Corkscrew Woodlands. Our community is maintained year-round, and Florida summers are some of our busiest months for mowing, landscaping, storm preparation and cleanup, trail maintenance, and other property projects. What You'll Do Responsibilities include: Mowing lawns throughout the community and common areas Weed eating around homes, trees, landscaping, planters, and other areas Edging driveways, sidewalks, streets, and landscaped areas Blowing and cleaning areas following mowing and landscape work Trimming shrubs, bushes, palms, and other vegetation Maintaining common-area landscaping Planting, mulching, and weed control Horticultural and landscape debris collection Maintaining canal banks and walking trails Filling ruts, holes, washouts, and other minor ground repairs Storm preparation and post-storm cleanup Maintaining and caring for assigned lawn and landscape equipment Assisting with irrigation and other property maintenance as needed Assisting with community projects and setup for meetings or activities Reporting maintenance concerns and unsafe conditions Helping Maintenance, Housekeeping, and other team members when additional assistance is needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable and punctual, takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, works well independently and as part of a team, and is willing to learn and help wherever needed. Applicants should be able to safely perform physical outdoor work in Florida conditions and safely operate lawn and landscape equipment. Previous lawn maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, equipment operation, or property maintenance experience is preferred. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive and respectful attitude who wants to be part of a team.
