Job Description

Full-Time Pay:
$22.00 per hour (based on experience) About the Position We are seeking a hardworking, reliable Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain the appearance, safety, and overall quality of our farm grounds. This position involves physically demanding outdoor work performed year-round in Florida weather conditions. Our farm welcomes thousands of guests each year, and the appearance of our property plays a critical role in their experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, attractive, and professional environment. This is not a desk job. You will spend your days outdoors in the Florida sun, heat, and humidity while performing physically demanding tasks that help keep our farm looking its best. Essential Responsibilities Commercial mowing and turf maintenance String trimming (weed eating) and edging Hedge, shrub, and ornamental plant trimming Weed control in landscape beds and public areas Mulch installation and replenishment Fertilizer application Herbicide application General grounds maintenance and property cleanup Maintaining landscaping around guest areas, event venues, parking lots, farm attractions, and public-facing facilities Safely operating and maintaining landscape equipment and tools Assisting with general farm maintenance projects as needed Qualifications Required Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying Florida weather conditions Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, agriculture, farming, or outdoor labor Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment Knowledge of fertilizer and herbicide applications Florida Pesticide Applicator License (preferred but not required) What to Expect Full workdays spent outdoors Physical labor including walking, lifting, bending, mowing, trimming, mulching, and operating equipment High standards for property appearance and maintenance A fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts the guest experience Opportunities to contribute to the overall success and presentation of the farm
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
