Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units.
Lawn Care & Maintenance:
Mow, edge, aerate, and weed lawns to ensure healthy growth and a neat appearance.
Planting & Cultivation:
Prepare soil, plant trees, shrubs, and flowers, and apply mulch or fertilizers.
Pruning & Clean-up:
Trim overgrown limbs and hedges, prune trees using shears or saws, and remove yard debris.
Equipment Operation:
Safely use and perform preventative maintenance on hand tools, power equipment, and small machinery.
Site Preparation & Hardscaping:
Dig trenches, assist with irrigation installation, and help construct retaining walls or walkways.
Qualifications & Requirements Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
Tool Proficiency:
Familiarity with landscaping tools such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws.
Safety & Compliance:
Understanding of safe equipment operation and pest control.
Teamwork & Communication:
Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively.
