Perform on highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment Perform on emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service Perform mechanics duties and responsibilities Perform electrician duties and responsibilities Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines Perform electrical skills including, but not limited to, basic electrical troubleshooting, uploading PLC programs, saving PLC programs, changing PLC programs as needed, To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use telephone, speak and listen frequently. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. programming VFD's, programming drives, running conduit and power to new equipment, replacing electrical hardware Perform electrical troubleshooting Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programs Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry function Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Perform all other duties as assigned or needed which will include operating production equipment, stacking, and inventory control Fluent in English Bilingual in Spanish a plus 5 + years manufacturing experience preferably in a paper converting/corrugated environment Knowledge of basic tools, power tools, electrical meters, pneumatic blue print reading, hydraulic blue print reading, and electrical schematic reading Knowledge of basic pneumatic & hydraulic blue print reading and electrical schematic reading Knowledge in the following programs: Lenz Global, RS logic 5,500 and 5,000, Workshop 505, Siemens Step 7 Ability to work in fast-paced environment Good interpersonal skills Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude) Lean Management Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Ability to deal with various situations Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must be able to perform repairs unsupervised, troubleshoot intermediate electrical issues and repair.
