$15.50 - $17.00
Job Summary:
The Golf Course Greenskeeper is responsible for the daily maintenance and care of the golf course grounds to ensure optimal playing conditions. This includes mowing, watering, landscaping, and maintaining all turf areas, greens, fairways, bunkers, and roughs. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an appreciation for the game of golf and course aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities:
Mow greens, fairways, roughs, and tee boxes using walk-behind and riding mowers Rake bunkers and maintain sand traps to proper standards Set up the course daily including moving tee markers, cutting cups, and placing flags Operate and maintain a variety of powered equipment including mowers, trimmers, and blowers Assist with irrigation system operation, including hand-watering, repairs, and adjustments Fertilize and apply pesticides under supervision and in compliance with regulations Perform routine maintenance of landscaping features, trees, and shrubs Monitor turf health and report any disease, pest, or irrigation issues Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance experience preferred but not necessary. Knowledge of turfgrass care and safe use of equipment and chemicals is a plus Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
Work Environment:
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions Physical labor including walking, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
