PART-TIME GROUNDSKEEPER

Private Farm — Havana, Florida We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated part-time groundskeeper to help maintain a large private residential property and farm in Havana. This position will focus primarily on routine landscape maintenance and the consistent details that keep a property looking cared for. It is a hands-on outdoor job for someone who notices weeds, overgrowth, fallen limbs, untidy beds, and other problems without needing to be told about each one. Primary responsibilities Weed landscaped beds, walkways, wildflower areas, and the grounds surrounding the house, pool house, greenhouse, and other buildings. Trim shrubs, remove dead growth, pick up fallen limbs, and keep planted areas neat. Edge and clean around driveways, fences, gates, ponds, solar panels, and structures. Assist with mowing and controlling overgrowth in selected areas. Spread mulch, pine bark, gravel, and other landscape materials. Help plant seasonal flowers, native grasses, wildflowers, and replacement plants. Monitor irrigation and report stressed plants, leaks, pests, fallen trees, or other problems. Keep tools, work areas, and landscape materials clean and organized. Assist with occasional seasonal projects such as storm cleanup, tree work, and property preparation before the owners return from summer travel. Qualifications Dependable and able to maintain a regular weekly schedule. Comfortable working outdoors in Florida heat and humidity. Physically capable of bending, lifting, using hand tools, and performing sustained grounds work. Able to work independently and take pride in visible results. Previous landscaping, farming, nursery, or grounds-maintenance experience is preferred. Experience safely operating a mower, string trimmer, blower, small tractor, or similar equipment is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be comfortable working around dogs and other animals. No criminal record involving theft or violence. Background check performed. Schedule Part-time, approximately 16-24 hours per week. Some flexibility is available, but the schedule must be dependable. Additional hours may occasionally be available for major seasonal projects. This is not a supervisory position. The groundskeeper will work alongside and under the direction of the property's maintenance manager, with a clearly defined division of responsibilities.
