Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Groundsman and play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of outdoor landscapes and utility corridors. In this energetic position, you will assist with tree care, landscaping, and grounds maintenance tasks, ensuring that outdoor environments are safe, attractive, and well-kept. Your hands-on work will support arborists, landscapers, and utility crews in executing their projects efficiently and safely. Duties Assist with tree removal, pruning, trimming, and planting using proper arborist rigging techniques and safety protocols Operate equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws safely to perform tree care and landscaping tasks Support tree care activities including plant pruning care, tree trimming, and general landscape maintenance Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and site planning purposes when required Perform rigging operations for lifting heavy limbs or equipment using appropriate rigging techniques Conduct lawn care activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control to maintain healthy turf areas Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor work activities to ensure personal safety and team well-being Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or background in horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture is highly desirable Knowledge of tree care practices such as pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques Experience operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, or other landscaping equipment is preferred Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or site planning is a plus Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions with a focus on safety Strong understanding of arborist rigging techniques and tree removal procedures Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is advantageous Excellent attention to detail for plant pruning care and landscape aesthetics Join us to help shape vibrant outdoor spaces while honing your skills in arboriculture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
