Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating and maintaining pristine, playable golf course grounds. This energetic position involves performing a variety of landscaping, groundskeeping, and equipment operation tasks to ensure the course remains beautiful, safe, and inviting for players of all skill levels. Duties Maintain and enhance golf course landscapes through mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to ensure optimal aesthetics and playability. Operate groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, power tools, irrigation systems, and other landscaping machinery safely and efficiently. Perform irrigation system management including installation, repair, troubleshooting, and scheduling to keep turf healthy and hydrated. Conduct athletic field groundskeeping tasks to maintain smooth fairways, greens, tees, and roughs suitable for competitive play. Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling of soil or materials, and the use of hand tools for landscape maintenance projects. Apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote healthy turf growth. Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure all tools and machinery operate safely and effectively. Assist with landscaping projects such as planting new vegetation or renovating existing areas to improve course aesthetics. Operate company vehicles for transportation of staff or equipment around the course property. Follow safety procedures related to power tool use, pesticide management, and general groundskeeping activities. Qualifications Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or athletic field maintenance is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is advantageous. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, lawnmowers, and other landscaping equipment safely. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions. Familiarity with pesticide management practices and safety protocols. Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of course quality. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar equipment preferred.
