Job Description
Grant's Gardens is looking for an On-Site Community Landscaper to maintain one of our properties on Longboat Key. The schedule is Monday to Friday and will report directly to the job site daily. The ideal candidate will have prior landscaping experience, and be able to work independently and safely. Grant's Gardens is a fast-growing landscaping company located in the Sarasota & Longboat key area. - General maintenance of client properties such as mowing, edging, weeding, trimming, and other tasks needed to beautify the landscaping.
- Inspect the property using a golf cart and address any maintenance needs such as debris, leaves, fallen palm fronds, or other maintenance.
- Communicate with residents, property manager, and HOA board members effectively verbally as well as in writing.
- Complete weekly wet checks.
- Make minor irrigation repairs such as replacing heads, changing spray direction, modifying time clocks, etc.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, etc.
- Notify the Account Manager if there are any issues, supply needs, or other.
- Take ownership of the property and its overall curb appeal with a keen eye for detail.
- Work with weekly maintenance crew when they are on site mowing, trimming, or other property maintenance.
- Installation of mulch, plant material, or other property enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of landscaping experience
- Able to report to the job site on time and manage time throughout the day
- Able to operate a golf cart and handheld landscaping equipment such as a blower, weedeater etc.
- Knowledgeable in basic maintenance of equipment, such as changing filters and other maintenance of hand-held equipment.
- Fluent English verbally and written is a must.
