Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds looking pristine Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Identify various plant species, including native plants, and assess their health to determine necessary care or pest control measures Manage plant pest control using appropriate pesticide management techniques while adhering to safety regulations Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns Use hand tools for planting, soil preparation, planting bed maintenance, and other gardening activities Assist with planting new greenery, transplanting existing plants, and supporting ongoing gardening projects Conduct regular groundskeeping activities to maintain clean and organized outdoor spaces in line with client specifications Monitor plant growth conditions, provide appropriate fertilization or soil amendments, and support sustainable farming practices where applicable Communicate effectively with clients regarding landscape needs or maintenance schedules to ensure satisfaction Skills Proven experience with greenhouse operations and growing plants in various environments Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and groundskeeping best practices Proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely Ability to identify a wide range of plants through plant identification skills Experience with horticulture principles including soil health, plant nutrition, and pest management Familiarity with irrigation system installation and troubleshooting Knowledge of native plants and sustainable landscaping practices Climbing skills for tree trimming or elevated landscape tasks safely Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration Background in farming or agriculture is a plus for understanding crop cycles and soil management Join us in creating stunning outdoor environments!
