Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Care Worker to join our outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and health of residential and commercial landscapes through various lawn and garden care activities. Responsibilities Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to perform lawn care and landscaping tasks efficiently. Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, trimming, aerating, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth. Perform landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, shrubbery trimming, and garden bed upkeep. Manage irrigation systems by installing, inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Identify various plants, trees, weeds, pests, and diseases to provide appropriate horticultural care or pest management solutions. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery and handling chemicals like pesticides or herbicides. Assist with hardscape projects such as installing pathways or retaining walls when needed. Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Support snow plowing or removal during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe. Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with knowledge of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to operating lawn care equipment, power tools, excavators, or other grounds maintenance machinery. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management techniques. Ability to operate irrigation systems and troubleshoot basic issues effectively. Experience with tree care including trimming and pruning; construction experience is a plus for hardscape projects. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation. Excellent physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions. Knowledge of gardening practices and landscape design principles is desirable but not required.
