Job Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Lawn Care Worker, where your enthusiasm for outdoor work and landscaping will help create beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscapes to ensure they are vibrant, safe, and visually appealing. Your expertise in landscape maintenance and equipment operation will play a vital part in delivering exceptional outdoor environments for our clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, groundskeeping, and landscape management while working in a lively outdoor setting. Duties Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain turf and landscaped areas efficiently Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to enhance garden aesthetics Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health of all landscaping elements Conduct tree trimming, shrub pruning, and hardscape maintenance to uphold safety standards and visual appeal Apply pesticides or fertilizers following safety protocols to promote healthy plant growth while minimizing environmental impact Assist with snow plowing and snow removal during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible Experience Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, plant identification, and horticulture principles is advantageous Familiarity with groundskeeping equipment operation including power tools and hand tools is highly desirable Ability to follow safety protocols diligently when handling pesticides, operating machinery, or working around hardscape features Mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems or landscaping equipment will be considered a plus Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential for success in this role Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms outdoor spaces into vibrant landscapes!
