The Grounds Crew Member plays a critical role in executing outdoor operations with a primary focus on tree care, safety management, and property cleanup. Working as part of our specialized field team, you will be responsible for setting up secure drop zones, managing tree debris, operating wood chippers, and ensuring strict adherence to site safety protocols while supporting routine landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities Tree Debris & Cleanup:

Drag brush, haul heavy logs, and thoroughly clear branches, wood, and debris from work sites to leave properties spotless after tree operations.

Wood Chipping & Processing:

Safely feed limbs and brush into wood chippers, manage chip discharge, and ensure processed materials are loaded or spread correctly.

Workplace Safety & Rigging Support:

Enforce site safety rules by establishing perimeter caution zones, managing rope lines, watching drop areas, and ensuring bystanders and property are fully protected during tree removals and trims.

Equipment Operation & Care:

Safely operate power tools (chainsaws, pole saws, blowers) and specialized equipment. Perform routine daily inspections, fuel checks, and equipment maintenance.

General Landscape & Hardscape Care:

Assist with lawn care, planting, mulching, irrigation checks, and hardscape construction projects during general property maintenance routines. Qualifications & Requirements Prior experience in tree service, groundskeeping, or wood chipper operation preferred. Strong commitment to safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, and hazard prevention on job sites. Ability to safely handle chainsaws, wood chippers, and hand tools according to industry guidelines. Strong mechanical aptitude to inspect, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.

High physical stamina:

capability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, drag heavy brush, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

$125.00 - $150.00 per day
