Overview Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Weed Eating Specialist and take pride in maintaining beautiful, healthy outdoor spaces! In this role, you'll be the key to keeping lawns, gardens, and landscapes pristine by expertly managing weed control and supporting overall landscape maintenance. Your hands-on skills and keen eye for detail will help transform outdoor areas into vibrant, well-manicured environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your landscaping expertise, and contribute to community beautification projects. Responsibilities Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as trimmers, weed eaters, and excavators to remove weeds from lawns, flower beds, and hardscape areas Maintain landscaped areas by trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and performing lawn care tasks including mowing and edging Identify various plants, weeds, and pests to ensure proper treatment and plant health management Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to promote healthy plant growth Support landscape projects by installing hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls as needed Apply pesticides responsibly following safety guidelines to control weeds and pests effectively Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency during landscaping tasks Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of gardening tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators Experience in landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, planting, pruning, and tree care Ability to identify plants accurately and recognize common weeds or pests that affect landscape health Knowledge of pesticide management practices for safe application and environmental protection Familiarity with horticulture principles and gardening techniques for sustainable landscape care Construction experience helpful for installing or repairing hardscape features or irrigation systems Ability to operate snow plowing equipment during winter months for year-round landscape upkeep This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about outdoor work who want to develop a broad skill set in landscaping.
