Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in ensuring the pristine condition and aesthetic appeal of our golf course. This energetic position involves maintaining lush fairways, manicured greens, and scenic landscapes that provide an exceptional experience for our members and guests. You will be responsible for operating a variety of groundskeeping equipment, managing irrigation systems, and performing landscape maintenance tasks with precision and care. Duties Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems to maintain the course's appearance and playability Perform turf management tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy turf growth Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent dry spots or overwatering Conduct athletic field groundskeeping activities to keep playing surfaces safe, level, and visually appealing Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mulching, and gardening to enhance course aesthetics Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling of soil or materials, and using hand tools safely and efficiently Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure safety and longevity Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests while protecting the environment Support overall groundskeeping operations by adhering to safety standards such as power tool safety procedures Experience Prior experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of irrigation systems operation and troubleshooting is advantageous Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, gardening, and landscaping practices Ability to operate power tools safely and perform equipment maintenance effectively Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds maintenance standards Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar equipment is a plus Join us in creating an inviting environment where players can enjoy their best game!
