This position will begin part-time at approximately two days per week and will include a 90-day probationary period . We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, works well as part of a team, and is willing to learn and grow with the company. For the right person, there will be opportunities for additional workdays, increased responsibilities, advancement, and potentially a larger role within the company based on performance, reliability, attitude, work ethic, and the continued growth of the business. This is a hands-on outdoor position involving residential and commercial lawn maintenance throughout the Winter Haven and Polk County area. Responsibilities Operate commercial lawn equipment including zero-turn mowers, push mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and blowers. Perform routine mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, and general property cleanup. Maintain a clean and professional appearance at customer properties. Assist with hedge and shrub trimming, pruning, weed control, and other general landscape maintenance. Assist with landscaping projects, planting, mulching, irrigation repairs, and property improvement projects as needed. Properly load, unload, clean, and maintain lawn equipment and tools. Follow company procedures and safety requirements while operating equipment. Work efficiently without sacrificing the quality of the finished property. Communicate professionally with team members and customers when necessary. Help identify property issues or maintenance concerns that should be brought to the owner's attention. What We Are Looking For Previous lawn maintenance or landscaping experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and has a strong work ethic.

The ideal candidate should:

Be dependable and consistently show up for scheduled work. Be able to work outdoors in the Florida heat and changing weather conditions. Be physically capable of walking, lifting, bending, trimming, and performing outdoor labor for extended periods. Be comfortable operating lawn equipment and power tools. Pay attention to detail and take pride in leaving properties looking professional. Be willing to learn new skills and accept constructive feedback. Work well with others while also being able to stay productive without constant supervision. Treat customers, their property, equipment, and coworkers with respect. Have a positive attitude and a desire to grow with a small, expanding company. Schedule Part-time to start Approximately 2 days per week initially Additional days and hours may become available as the company continues to grow. Schedule may vary depending on weather, workload, and seasonal demand. 90-Day Probationary Period All new employees will begin with a 90-day probationary period . During this period, we will evaluate attendance, reliability, quality of work, productivity, equipment handling, attitude, ability to learn, and overall work ethic. Employees who demonstrate strong performance and a commitment to the company may be considered for additional hours, increased responsibilities, pay advancement, and future leadership opportunities.
