Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Groundsman to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support arborists and landscape crews by performing outdoor maintenance tasks, operating equipment, and assisting with tree care projects. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will help ensure the successful completion of various landscaping and tree management activities. Responsibilities Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using appropriate arborist rigging techniques and tools such as chainsaws and bucket trucks Operate bucket trucks safely to access elevated work areas for pruning, trimming, or planting Support rigging operations for tree care, including rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or trees Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, plant pruning, and general landscaping duties Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and site planning when necessary Follow all safety protocols diligently during outdoor work activities and equipment operation Support arborists with tree removal projects, including climbing, rigging, and debris cleanup Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or tree care preferred Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques and tree removal procedures Experience operating bucket trucks and chainsaws safely Familiarity with GIS technology is a plus Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence in outdoor environments Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees) is advantageous Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining attention to detail Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to enhancing landscapes through expert tree care!
