Duties Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers to maintain grassed areas and landscapes. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, shrubbery trimming, and flower bed upkeep. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for optimal plant health. Use hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like edging, pruning, and hardscape maintenance. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and pest management practices are followed. Conduct groundskeeping activities such as snow plowing during winter months and debris removal to keep outdoor spaces safe and tidy. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating equipment and handling chemicals like pesticides or fertilizers for plant health management. Experience Prior outdoor work experience or grounds maintenance background preferred but not required; training will be provided. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping equipment operation is advantageous. Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant identification, and pesticide management enhances job performance. Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery including lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and snow plows safely. Strong attention to safety procedures when handling chemicals or operating heavy equipment. Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. A proactive attitude with a desire to learn about landscaping techniques and ground maintenance best practices.
