$20-$25/hour (depending on experience) We're partnering with a private 250-acre estate outside Eatonton, GA that's looking for a reliable, hands-on Groundskeeper to keep the property in top shape year-round. This isn't a manicured golf course — it's a working estate with 60-70 acres of fields, wooded trails, a large barn, a gun range, and plans to expand into event hosting. They've got every tool and piece of equipment you could ask for, including tractors and a batwing brush hog that cuts 15-18 feet wide. What they need is someone who knows how to use it all. The property is co-managed by on-site caretakers, and you'd report to the Property Manager. What You'll Be Doing Mow and maintain 60-70 acres of fields, meadows, and lawns using tractors and heavy-duty mowers Maintain and clear hunting and walking trails — removing overgrowth, fallen brush, and debris Perform thinning, pruning, and removal of damaged or unwanted trees and branches Handle basic repairs on fences, gates, paths, outbuildings, and a growing barn complex Maintain and perform minor repairs on landscaping equipment, estate vehicles, and tractors Support seasonal projects including event venue prep, road building, and range maintenance Manage irrigation systems, fountains, and ponds Coordinate with outside vendors for vehicle maintenance and specialty work Ideal Background Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, forestry, or private estate/farm maintenance Comfortable operating tractors, brush hogs, mowers, chainsaws, and various handheld tools Physically fit — this is demanding outdoor work in all weather, with heavy lifting and uneven terrain Self-directed and reliable — you'll work independently with minimal supervision most days High level of discretion appropriate for a private estate setting Valid driver's license required; CDL or pesticide/fertilizer application licenses are a plus Compensation $20-$25/hour depending on experience Schedule is generally 7:00-5:00 or 8:00-6:00 Occasional travel with the team to other properties (including potential trips to Turks and Caicos, New York, etc.) Why This Role 250 acres with all the equipment — two of everything, well-stocked shop No livestock management — this is land and property work Stable, long-term position with an owner who's actively investing in the property Variety of work: trails, fields, construction projects, event prep, equipment maintenance If this sounds like you — or someone you know who's built for this kind of work — reach out directly or apply through the link provided.
