About the
Role:
As a Groundskeeper/Make Ready Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and curb appeal of the apartment community while also assisting with the preparation of vacant apartments for new residents. The position supports the maintenance team by helping ensure that the community remains clean, attractive, safe, and ready for resident move-ins.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in maintenance or a related field. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in property management or residential maintenance. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community, including grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, breezeways, stairwells, and building entrances. Pick up trash and debris, empty outdoor receptacles, clean dumpster or compactor areas, and maintain pet-waste stations. Assist with preparing vacant apartments for move-in, cleaning units, and completing assigned make-ready checklists. Perform basic make-ready work. Assist the maintenance team with apartment turns, preventive maintenance, appliance movement, supply deliveries, and other projects. Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with property management regarding progress and any issues encountered.
