Grounds Maintenance Associate III

Job Description

Job Description The Grounds Maintenance Associate III will be overseeing day-to-day park operations, including staff management, general parks maintenance, and equipment upkeep and repair. The incumbent will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing in-house training related to grounds maintenance. In addition, this position will be inspecting parks to ensure they meet safety and maintenance standards. Essential Duties Prioritizing and assigning work to direct reports, providing training and guidance as needed, and ensuring staff follow policies and procedures Approving time for direct reports and ensuring staff follows policies and procedures Conducting performance evaluations Making recommendations in hiring, terminating, and disciplinary actions Completing accident and personal injury reports Maintaining assigned budget and monitoring expenditures Creating purchase orders for materials needed in daily operation Performing monthly inspections of assets Creating service requests for plumbing, electrical, and carpentry needs Maintaining and verifying equipment inventory Public Speaking Duties Speaking and leading training programs Interacting with the public and youth athletic associations Reporting on maintenance items on an as needed basis Other Job Requirements/Information This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Grade The grade for this position is B22(2). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or
GED, AND
Three years of grounds maintenance experience, including one year of lead experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
