Groundsman Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Groundsman and play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and beauty of outdoor landscapes and utility environments. In this energetic position, you will assist with landscape maintenance, tree care, and infrastructure support, ensuring that outdoor spaces are safe, functional, and visually appealing. Your hands-on work will contribute to the overall success of our landscaping and utility projects, providing a rewarding opportunity for growth and skill development. Responsibilities Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, chippers and chainsaws safely to perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal tasks. Assist with rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or trees during removal or maintenance. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including raking and blowing customers property Perform tree procedures with proper rigging methods while adhering to safety protocols. Support land clearing efforts by using appropriate tools for brush removal, stump grinding, and debris cleanup. Follow safety guidelines meticulously during all outdoor tasks to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, tree service, is highly preferred. Familiarity with tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and tree removal techniques. Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of arborist rigging technique Basic understanding of GIS applications for landscape or utility planning is a plus. Hands-on experience with chainsaws, lawn care equipment, and landscape maintenance tools.
