Overview Responsible person required for long term part time position on local small farm type property. Person needed for a minimum of 1-3 days a week for maintenance and often a full week for some projects. Must have clean drivers record, farming experience is an advantage but not necessary, other perks and bonuses for persons with additional skills Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and planting to keep grounds healthy and attractive. Operate ground maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power trimmers, chainsaws, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Use hand tools and power tools for landscaping projects while adhering to safety protocols for power tool operation. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of soil, mulch, or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury. Apply pesticides or herbicides responsibly following all safety guidelines to control pests and weeds. Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure longevity and reliable operation of landscaping tools and machinery. Assist with general groundskeeping duties such as trash removal, planting new greenery, and maintaining pathways or fencing. Monitoring and feeding Horses, Cattle, Birds & Dogs on occasion Experience Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscape maintenance experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with farms and large animals if possible including installation and troubleshooting skills. Gardening experience a bug plus Strong understanding of lawn care techniques, gardening practices, and general landscaping principles.

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
