A Landscaping or Groundskeeping Worker provides landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Provides care for plants and trees including mowing, trimming and planting, and repairs driveways, walks, benches or other structures.

$20-$30/hour, commensurate with experience Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and self-motivated Landscaper / Property Maintenance Worker to assist with the ongoing care and upkeep of a private residential property in Hawi, Hawaii. This position will typically offer approximately 20-30 hours per week . At various times throughout the year when the residents are on property, additional availability may be needed, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week . The ideal candidate is comfortable handling routine lawn and landscape maintenance as well as taking on larger landscaping projects and a variety of general property-related tasks. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs attention, and can work independently. Responsibilities Mow lawns using riding mower provided on the property Weed, trim, edge, prune, and perform general landscape maintenance Maintain landscaped areas and help keep the grounds clean and well cared for Complete larger landscaping projects as needed, such as planting, clearing, relocating plants, improving landscape beds, and other property improvements Perform general odd jobs and light property maintenance as needed Help prepare and maintain the property when the residents are in Hawaii 5-6 months of the year Keep tools and equipment organized and well-maintained Identify landscaping or property-maintenance issues that need attention and communicate them appropriately Safely operate and care for landscaping tools and equipment Assist with other reasonable outdoor or property-related projects as needed Qualifications Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, property maintenance, or similar hands-on experience preferred Experience with lawn equipment and common landscaping tools Ability to complete both routine maintenance and larger landscaping projects Comfortable performing physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and perform other physical tasks associated with landscaping and property maintenance Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Good judgment and attention to detail Willingness to take on a variety of tasks rather than being limited strictly to mowing or lawn care Reliable transportation to the property in
Hawi Compensation & Schedule Pay:
$20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience. The regular schedule is expected to be approximately 20-30 hours per week . The residents are on property periodically throughout the year, and during those periods, additional hours may be available or needed, up to approximately 40 hours per week .
