Job Description
Nauru Tower, Honolulu's iconic luxury residential condominium is seeking a reliable, motivated, and dependable Landscaper to join our team. This position may be filled at a general or lead level depending on experience, knowledge, and qualifications. This role offers long-term growth and the opportunity to gain broader experience in property operations. We offer a stable, well-maintained work environment with consistent scheduling and the opportunity to work on a single property rather than multiple job sites. Position Overview This role is responsible for the care, maintenance, and overall appearance of landscaped areas throughout the property. Responsibilities may include routine groundskeeping as well as oversight of landscaping tasks for more experienced candidates. Skills & Requirements The following are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Ability to perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, and debris removal
- Knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment, and supplies; ability to safely operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
- Basic understanding and knowledge of plant types, care, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices; ability to identify and address plant health issues
- Physically able to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
- Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail; professional attitude and positive demeanor
- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent property standards
- For lead-level candidates: ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate daily work, and help maintain quality standards
- Minimum one year of landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred (3+ years preferred for lead-level candidates) Job Functions Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Perform routine landscape maintenance throughout the property, including lawns, gardens, walkways, lobbies, and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of landscaped areas and grounds to a high standard
- Assist with planting, replanting, and ongoing landscape improvements
- Monitor and assist with irrigation systems, including basic adjustments and reporting issues
- Identify and address landscape maintenance needs, including plant care, pruning, and debris removal
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment
- For lead-level candidates: assist in coordinating daily tasks and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to standard
- Support management and team members with additional tasks as needed
