Remedy any canine related issues such as dog scuffles, excess barking, biting & nipping, stalking, etc. Interact with guests (humans & dogs) and be cognizant of what dogs are at the facility and whom they belong to. Get to know your regulars. Treat all dogs and humans with respect. Make sure patrons respect each other's dogs, their own dogs and one another. Complete and file incident reports. Learn basic dog handling skills and how to work with dogs. Assist with checking-in dogs; temperament consultations. Learn the different dog breeds along with breed traits and tendencies. Enforce dog park rules and code of conduct. Assist with making sure guests obey rules and where dogs are allowed, not allowed, leashed and unleashed. Dog park and turf maintenance. Help clean and maintain dog park features, furniture, turf, cleaning stations, etc. Pick-up after dogs when guests are absent. Respect and communicate well with colleagues, especially check in staff and other grounds crew. Assist with special events, private parties, expos and sponsored events.
